A winter storm produced widespread snow throughout Eastern Iowa, Northwest Illinois and Northeast Missouri. Snowfall amounts generally ranged from 3 to 6 inches with isolated higher amounts of 7 inches reported along and north of Highway 30. Roads were slick and hazardous with numerous reports of accidents. A woman was killed when she was struck by a car while shoveling snow in front of her home.The motorist lost control of his vehicle after running into a snow drift and struck the woman.
