A line of severe thunderstorms developed in west central Illinois and moved northeast into La Salle County. Widespread tree damage was reported throughout the communities of Oglesbey and Ottawa. Large trees were downed along the Illinois River at Starved Rock and Buffalo Rock State Parks, with park clean-up taking two weeks.
