A north Pacific storm moved inland across Washington and Oregon and into Idaho during the early morning hours of the 8th. The initial warm front dropped 3 to 6 inches of new snow across Southeast Oregon and Southwest Idaho at elevations above 4000 feet. The warm front was quickly followed by a cold front which produced an additional 2 to 3 inches in the West Central Mountains and Boise Mountains. Storm total amounts reached 8 inches throughout the West Central Mountains and 6 to 7 inches in the Boise Mountains.
