A strong warm front lifted north through the Idaho panhandle on December 16, bringing heavy snow to areas north of I-90. Specific snowfall amounts include: Schweitzer Ski Area...10", Bonners Ferry...6.0", Coeur D'Alene...5", and Sandpoint...3.6". Areas south of I-90 warmed enough to change precipitation to rain before snowfall accumulations could become heavy.
