Freezing temperatures were observed over rural parts of West Central Florida, mainly north of Hernando county, during the overnight hours to around sunrise of December 23rd. Low temperatures dropped into the middle 20s over Levy county with durations of four to eight hours below freezing. In Citrus and Sumter counties, low temperatures dropped into the upper 20s and lower 30s with durations below freezing for up to four hours.
