Flash Flood in Colorado, July 8, 2000
Heavy rains from a slow moving thunderstorm resulted in flash flooding of Chapman Gulch. The flooding trapped a motorist who drove through the Gulch moments earlier with water reaching the hood of the vehicle.

Heavy rains from a slow moving thunderstorm resulted in flash flooding of Chapman Gulch. The flooding trapped a motorist who drove through the Gulch moments earlier with water reaching the hood of the vehicle. The motorist was able to vacate the area the next morning after the waters had receded.
