Rainfall in the Sacramento and northern San Joaquin valleys broke multiple calendar day accumulation records. Redding received 2.77 inches of rain for the date, which smashed the previous daily record of 0.30 inches set in 1964. Sacramento received 0.16 inches, which broke the record of a trace of rain last set in 1941. Stockton received 0.07 inches, which broke the previous record of a trace of rain...last set in 1924.
