Afternoon thunderstorm activity reached rather active levels over the higher terrain of the Southern Sierra Nevada. In the Yosemite National Park area of the Southern Sierra thunderstorm tops reached in excess of 45,000 feet MSL with 1.5 inch hail reported at 1500 PST located 4 miles northeast of Crane Flat (just into the Tuolumne County portion of Yosemite).
