Strong southeast winds were observed Thursday in the Kodiak zone along the southeast quadrant of a moderate 964 mb low. The center moved northwest toward Chignik late Thursday, with gusty southeast winds of 60 mph at Sitkinak from 4 pm to just after 7 pm Thursday. The low continued northwest into Bristol Bay early Friday where it began to rapidly weaken.
