Hail and Damaging Wind in Texas, April 7, 1999
A dryline across the western Texas and Oklahoma panhandles moving eastward along with a strong low pressure system in the upper atmosphere moving into Colorado during the late evening hours produced severe thunderstorms with hail and damaging winds across the southeastern Texas panhandle. The high winds caused shingles to be peeled from the roof of a house.
