A vigorous upper level storm system moved slowly east across West Texas by the morning hours producing a mixture of snow, sleet, and freezing rain over the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles. There were numerous power outages and most roads and highways were closed all across the Oklahoma panhandle.

There were numerous power outages and most roads and highways were closed all across the Oklahoma panhandle. Four to five inches of snow fell across the western and central Oklahoma panhandle while one quarter to one half inch of ice accumulation occurred across the eastern Oklahoma panhandle.
