Summary of events for April 15 1999:The pressure gradient between a 993 mb low over eastern Missouri/Illionois and a 1040 mb high over the northern Rockies brought strong northwest winds to eastern Oklahoma on April 15. The strongest winds occurred in the morning. While most of eastern Oklahoma experienced wind gusts of 40 to 45 miles an hour, a few locations north and northwest of Tulsa experienced wind gusts near 50 miles an hour.
