An area of low pressure developed over the southeastern U.S. on March 14. This low tracked northeast off the eastern seaboard and was off the coast of Cape Cod by the evening of March 15. Wet snow fell over the Taconics of eastern Dutchess County. Stormville mountain reported 9 inches. The heavy snow knocked down some trees and power lines which resulted in numerous power outages across the area.
