Severe thunderstorms crossed the north country during the evening hours. The thunderstorms produced damaging downburst winds. The Sheriffs of Jefferson and Lewis counties reported downed trees and power lines. In Adams, a motorist and her 8-year-old son were uninjured when a tree limb landed on their car, shattering the back window.
