Three to 5 inches of rain in northern Platte county caused extensive flash flooding which closed highway 91 just west of its junction with highway 81. A pickup with 2 people in it was washed off of highway 91 near Humphrey and swept 1/2 mile downstream totally destroying the truck. The occupants were not hurt.
