A line of thunderstorms moved across North Central Maryland between 6:30 PM EDT and 7:15 PM EDT, producing gusty winds, heavy downpours, and frequent lighting. As the storms moved through southeast Frederick County and southwest Carroll County strong winds knocked tree limbs onto power lines. 2,000 customers in the area lost power as a direct result of the storm.
