In the wake of a cold front, winds were funneled up the Snake River Valley to reach sustained velocities over 40 mph. Spotter reports indicated sustained winds as high as 50 mph, with gusts over 60 mph. Winds in the 25 to 40 mph range were widespread across the rest of Eastern Idaho.
