Lightning ignited a fire that gutted a 56 unit building in the Post Terrace Apartments complex. Lightning set the roof of one building afire, then flames quickly spread throughout the four-story structure. Tremendous amounts of lightning also caused fires to break out in at least a dozen locations in the Atlanta area.
