Thunderstorms developed along a moisture gradient across north Georgia and moved east during the afternoon. A couple storms became severe in extreme northeast Georgia and produced a 60 mph wind gust in Lavonia, along with dime size hail.

Quarter to golf ball size hail was reported in portions of Hart county.
