A well defined and long-lived waterspout was observed to develop approximately 50 yards south of the Memorial Causeway Bridge (State Road 60) in Clearwater Harbor. The waterspout was visible for nearly 20 miles and lasted nearly 10 minutes. Northerly downburst winds from the parent thunderstorm pushed the waterspout south across Clearwater Harbor before it dissipated approximately one mile southwest of Clearwater.
