The Archbald Biological Station personnel reported that thunderstorm winds downed several trees and billboard signs along U.S. Highway 27, seven miles south of Lake Placid. Thunderstorm winds damaged a few roofs and downed several large pine and a few palm trees in the Highlands Park Estates and Paradise Mobile Home Park in Sebring.
