Strong Wind in Connecticut, March 4, 1999
Low pressure passing west of New England brought a period of strong south winds to northern Connecticut. Winds gusted to around 50 mph at several locations, including 52 mph at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks and 48 mph at Brainard Field in Hartford.

Low pressure passing west of New England brought a period of strong south winds to northern Connecticut. Winds gusted to around 50 mph at several locations, including 52 mph at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks and 48 mph at Brainard Field in Hartford. Other places reported wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph.The strong winds brought down a few tree limbs and power lines, resulting in scattered power outages. Thunder and lightning accompanied periods of briefly heavy rainfall.
