Scattered thunderstorms developed in advance of a cold front moving east from the Ohio Valley. One severe thunderstorm in Hartford County downed trees and wires in Canton, and produced half dollar sized hail. A second severe thunderstorm about half an hour later produced dime sized hail in Canton.
