The first major winter storm of the season moved through the area droping 36 to 48 inches of snow on Mount Lemmon, 36 inches in northern Greenlee County, 30 inches on Mount Graham, and 8 inches in Oracle. The storm began with gusty winds to 60 mph on the morning of the 1st. Tucson recorded 1.17 inches of rain on the 1st setting a new daily record for the date.
