Strong north winds were reported around Seward...with adjusted ASOS gusts reaching 63 mph late Sunday as a moderate low moved from near Middleton Island to just south of the Kenai Fiords.

Blizzard, Central Gulf Coast

Strong southwest winds originating up on the Whittier Glacier, just southwest of town, gusted to 45 mph.The strong winds combined with overrunning snow northwest of the arctic front, to produce several hours of blizzard conditions in snow and blowing snow. Visibilities were frequently below 1/4 mile from 8 pm Sunday to 12 am Monday.
