A small, but wet low at the southern entrance to Prince William Sound caused significant overrunning of the arctic front and was responsible for snows ranging form 1 to locally 3 feet across land areas adjacent to Prince William Sound Friday. Heaviest snows were reported in the city of Cordova...where nearly 3 feet of snow kept road crews busy well into Saturday.

High Wind, Cook Inlet

Adjusted east winds at Portage gusted to 60 mph Friday. These winds resulted from an exiting low in northwest Prince William Sound.
