A bowing thunderstorm caused wind damage on the south end of Lamesa near the highway 137/349 split. A metal barn and two pivot irrigation systems were destroyed by the wind. A peak wind gust of 70 mph was recorded at KPET radio station. Also one utility pole was knocked down in this area.
