A severe thunderstorm caused wind damage in Upper Darby and Radnor Townships. Radnor Township was hit hard with about 50 trees uprooted and numerous toads blocked by either trees or limbs.

A severe thunderstorm caused wind damage in Upper Darby and Radnor Townships. Radnor Township was hit hard with about 50 trees uprooted and numerous toads blocked by either trees or limbs. An uprooted tree also broke a gas line. Service was suspended on the SEPTA commuter rail lines between Paoli and Downingtown because of downed trees. PECO energy reported about 140,000 customers lost power in their service area, but only 15,000 in Delaware County. The last 1,500 were put back on line on Sunday the 28th.
