Flood in Oregon, December 29 to 30, 1998
The warning was issued for the stretch from Myrtle Point to Bandon and included both the North and South forks of the river from Myrtle Point downstream to Bandon. The upper sections from Myrtle Point to Coquille were dropped by 1810 PST on 12/29.

Heavy rains caused the Coquille River to flood again...for the second time this month.The warning was issued for the stretch from Myrtle Point to Bandon and included both the North and South forks of the river from Myrtle Point downstream to Bandon. The upper sections from Myrtle Point to Coquille were dropped by 1810 PST on 12/29. That section came within a foot of flood stage, but remained below it.At Coquille, the river did reach flood stage (21.0 feet).
