The Huron River at Milan exceeded its flood stage of 14 feet and crested at 17.2 feet at 1100 EST on 04/17/98. Flooding occurred in some lagoon communities from Milan to near Huron, resulting in some cottages and homes being completely surrounded by flood water. Some roads were impassable.
