Thunderstorm wind damage occurred in rural northeast Lee county on Deep River Road near US-1. This location was about 7 miles northeast of Sanford. Numerous trees were downed in a 1/2 mile path that was only 25 to 50 yards wide. This was a report from a Skywarn Observer and county EM officials surveyed the damage.
