Urban and small stream flooding occurred as a slow moving thunderstorm drenched the Thomasville, High Point, and Randleman areas with 2 inches of rain in an hour. Highways NC-62, NC-150, and US-301 in these areas were flooded in numerous spots where several traffic accidents occurred. Several streams and drainage ditches flooded creating a hazard for residents.
