An area of strong low pressure moved across southern Canada during Sunday, May 31st. Thunderstorms and showers moved across the county. A few thunderstorms were accompanied by strong winds and very heavy rain. In particular, numerous trees were blown down and power lines were blown down during the early afternoon in the New York towns of Starlake and Cranberry Lake.
