A sudden and localized dust storm along Highway 70-380 about 5-8 miles west of Roswell caused a six car pileup in low visibilities. At least 2 people required hospitalisation with 6 other minor injures. The dust was aggravated by gusty winds of 25-30 mph blowing over nearby fire-scorched rangeland.
