A severe thunderstorm produced wind damage across the northeast half of Morris County from Jefferson Township to Morris Plains. Numerous trees, power lines and limbs were knocked down.

A severe thunderstorm produced wind damage across the northeast half of Morris County from Jefferson Township to Morris Plains. Numerous trees, power lines and limbs were knocked down. Hardest hit was Dover Town. In Denville three trees fell on houses. Trees crushed cars in both Jefferson Township and Parsippany. Several roads remained closed into June 1st in Jefferson Township and caused school opening delays. A tree also crushed a fence in Roxbury Township.
