A widespread flash flood event began with heavy rain in the vicinity of Panaca and Cathedral Gorge State Park. The Lincoln County Sheriff first reported flooding across the road in Cathedral Gorge at 11:20 am PST followed by washed out roads between Pioche and Echo Canyon State Park shortly after. Redeveloping thunderstorms produced upwards of 1.5 inches of rain within a couple hours causing major flash flooding around Panaca and also at Eagle Valley State Park during the afternoon. No significant reports of damage were received.
