The same storm that hit Midland in Acadia Parish developed another tornado, and touched down in Basile on the Acadia/Evangeline Parish line. The worst hit area was the high school, where the middle school wing was completely destroyed. A total of 27 homes and businesses received damage in Basile, of which 15 were considered destroyed or received major damage. The 3 minor injuries resulted from cuts and bumps from flying debris during the tornado.
