A series of thunderstorms dumped heavy rain on the Las Vegas Valley producing significant street flooding and flowing washes. Three occupants of a car caught in flood waters at Desert Inn and Durango had to be rescued by the fire department. Another person drove a luxury car into deep water at the intersection of Pecos and Twain Avenue, essentially totalling the vehicle. She escaped without injury. Several other streets and intersections were inundated for a few hours.
