Heavy rain from thunderstorms produced flash flooding. Sewer systems in the Fremont area backed up into basements of homes causing damage. York Creek near Herman and Bell Creek just east of Arlington overflowed their banks. Some homes east of Arlington had to be evacuated. Eight of these homes were flooded. A portion of U.S. highway 30 near Arlington had to be closed for a period of time. Nearly 3000 acres of soybeans were destroyed near Arlington.
