Severe thunderstorms developed rapidly in south-central Nebraska and spread northeast across the area. One severe thunderstorm moved across southern Hall county and produced wind gusts to 70 mph near its rear flank. Three trucks were blown over while driving on Interstate 80 six miles northwest of Giltner. Near Hastings, a 63 mph wind gust broke windows and collapsed a couple of garage doors.
