A line of severe thunderstorms caused wind damage across much of the west and central part of St. Francois County. Trees, power, cable and telephone lines were downed throughout the area. Hardest hit was Farmington were some residents were without power for at least 8 hours. Numerous roofs and automobiles were damaged by falling trees or large limbs. Billboards were downed along U.S. Highway 67.
