A line of severe thunderstorms caused scattered pockets of wind damage throughout Cecil County, mainly in the eastern half of the county. Roof damage was reported within Elkton. In Cecilton, sheds were blown over and several two hundred foot tall trees were knocked down. At least one vehicle was damaged. Frequent lightning set trees on fire in Chesapeake City and North East and also ignited a wire fire in Glen Farms. About 3,000 homes lost power in the county. All power was restored by the afternoon of the first.
