Flash Flooding in Indiana, July 7, 1998
A second round of thunderstorms during the afternoon added several more inches of rainfall to these counties which experienced two to four inch rains that morning. This resulted in a round of flash flooding that placed many streams out of their banks and across roadways.

A second round of thunderstorms during the afternoon added several more inches of rainfall to these counties which experienced two to four inch rains that morning. This resulted in a round of flash flooding that placed many streams out of their banks and across roadways. County sheriffs reported many roads under water during the early evening. Several other roads running near streams were also washed out by high water levels, especially in Knox County.
