A tornado, that spent most of its time just off the ground, skipped across the south part of Okaloosa county and caused minor roof and tree damage. The tornado began near Okaloosa Island and moved across the Sound then across Fort Walton Beach to the golf course, then went back into the cloud as it entered the Eglin Air Force Base reservation. No one was injured. Several people observed the funnel.
