The third Arctic airmass of the month to spread into the Central California interior was the coldest of the three and produced large amounts of crop damage/loss. Low temperatures dropped below freezing for 7 consecutive days in Redding with 21 degrees being the lowest recorded temperature. Red Bluff experienced 9 consecutive days with the low temperature at or below freezing. The lowest temperature recorded at Red Bluff was also 21 degrees. Downtown Sacramento experienced 6 consecutive days with low temperatures at or below freezing. The lowest temperature recorded downtown was 26 degrees. Stockton experienced 11 consecutive days with low temperatures at or below freezing. The lowest temperature recorded in Stockton was 20 degrees.
