A weak (F1) tornado was spawned near Cove in Polk County. The tornado moved to the southwest of town, downing at least two dozen trees.

A weak (F1) tornado was spawned near Cove in Polk County. The tornado moved to the southwest of town, downing at least two dozen trees. A roof was partially removed from a house, with roofs blown off of a barn and garage. Small outbuildings were destroyed and a travel trailer was blown over sideways onto a satellite dish. The tornado dissipated about 3 miles southwest of Cove.
