A moderate low, deepening near Dutch Harbor, curved north as a 980mb center just south of Nunivak Island early Saturday afternoon, finally moving to just south of Saint Lawrence Island Sunday morning where it began to weaken. Brisk southeast wind preceded the low...with gusts reaching 52 mph at both Cape Romanzof and Mekoryuk (on Nunivak Island). Additionally, brisk southwest winds were observed along the 'back side' of the low...affecting areas from Kuskokwim Bay northward with gusts close to 50 mph.
