The first snow storm of the season dropped up to four inches of snow in the Pendleton area. In Hermiston freezing rain fell before and after about two inches of snow complicating driving conditions. An inch and a half of snow fell in Milton-Freewater with no freezing rain. Several flights were canceled at the Eastern Oregon Regional Airport in Pendleton because of the snow and freezing rain. A school bus slid into a power pole. None of the 35 students on the bus were injured and they walked the rest of the way to school.
