A funnel cloud was reported by several people near Stagecoach in Lyon County (about 10 miles southwest of Silver Springs). News reports later showed video, confirming this to be a tornado. The tornado lasted about five minutes. No damage was reported as the tornado was in open country. There was no confirmation on path width and length.
