A winter storm dropped heavy snow over parts of Northern and East Central Nevada. 24 hour totals ending at 0800 included: 12 inches at McCoy mine...32 miles south of Battle Mountain, 11 inches at Wells, 10 inches at Carlin, Gibbs Ranch...50 miles northeast of Elko, and Winnemucca and 8 inches at Wildhorse Reservoir.
